FSNA - London and District Branch

Welcome to the London and District Branch of the Federal Superannuates National Association. Our volunteers serve the members who reside in London, Woodstock, Tillsonburg, St. Thomas and the counties of Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin.

Our Branch holds General Meetings three times a year, in the months of September, December, and April.  Notice of date, time, agenda and any special events of these meetings is made available to every member through email bulletins, by telephone or by clicking London Branch News on this page.

Our General Membership meetings usually start at 11:00 a.m. and feature a business agenda, a luncheon and a guest speaker or entertainment. The meetings are held at various locations in London such as a hotel or cultural centre. A nominal fee is charged for the meal and guests are welcome to attend.  Tickets for the meal must be purchased at least three business days before the event, so that the correct number of meals will be available.  If you cancel your meal reservation three days before the event your ticket price will be returned to you. Please note that it is not necessary to purchase a meal ticket if you do not intend to stay for the luncheon.

Membership services are provided through our Membership Secretary. New member applications, dues payments, and dues deduction at source are just some of the many membership services that are provided on this website or by direct contact with any of our executive members. .

Elections for the Branch executive take place every year at our Annual General Meeting in April.  We also hold an Annual Christmas Dinner in early December.  Regularly updated information about branch activities can be found by clicking on London Branch News or you may also call (519) 439-3762 for information.

The London Branch of the Federal Superannuates is headed by a volunteer group providing organization and information to approximately 2.000 Regular and Associate members in London and the surrounding area. Our volunteers  provide services through several committees whose reponsibilities include membership, health & dental benefits, communicatins, military liaison and social events.  

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 - Our first fall Regular General Meeting - at the Duchess of Kent Legion Hall, 499 Hill Street, London,. Meeting starts at 1:30 p.m.. Our guest speaker is Susan Oster, Chairperson of the Alzheimer Society of London, who will be speaking on Alzheimer's Disease and will answer any questions you may have. A social time with free refreshments will follow the meeting. Plan to attend and bring a friend - guests are welcome.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12 - Luncheon Meeting at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn, Wellington Road South, starts at 11:00 a.m. A delicious buffet luncheon will be followed by two guests speakers: our Regional Services Officer Graham Weber who is making his final appearance as our RSO as he will be retiring at the end of this year. Our second guest speaker is Shawn McChord from Johnson Insurance, who will be speaking on the MEDOC (Medical Out of Country) program. This will be of special interest to our Snowbirds who will be leaving us for warmer weather. Tickets are only $15 each for member and spouse, $20 each for non-members. Cancellations must be made by October 9th for refund. It is not necessary to buy a ticket if you wish to attend the meeting only, but you must leave the dining area before lunch is served. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16 - a Regular General Meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Duchess of Kent Legion Hall. Guest speaker to be announced. Social time with free refreshments will follow.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7 - Our Annual Christmas Luncheon, again at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn on Wellington Road South, starting at 11:00 a.m. Ticket prices are $15 each for members and spouse/partner and $20 for non-members. Another wonderful buffet lunch will be ready for you, with entertainment to follow. Send cheque in the required amount to: FSNA, P.O. Box 44002, Market Tower, 141 Dundas Street, London ON N6A 5R0. Tickets will be held for you at the door. Money refunded if cancelled before December December 3.
