Pension Increase for 2012 |

Treasury Board has announced that the increase in indexing to be applied to Public Service, Canadian Forces and RCMP pensions in January 2012 will be 2.8%. Other increases include: for the CPP 2.8%; for the basic OAS (Old Age Security) pension, the GIS (Guaranteed Income Supplement) and the Allowances will rise by 0.4 percent for this quarter (the OAS, the GIS and the Allowances are indexed on a quarterly basis, while the CPP is indexed annually). Please note that federal public sector pensions are indexed separately from the CPP, OAS and other income security programs. For further information, consult http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca. |
